In the Profession
Prior to joining Carlson Dash, Jaylaan worked for the Appellate Prosecutor’s office in the Second District of Illinois, where she honed her legal research, persuasive writing and oral argument skills, resulting in two favorable published precedential opinions from the Second District Appellate Court. Shortly thereafter, Jaylaan worked as a high-volume creditors’ rights litigation attorney, obtaining judgments in over 10 counties within the greater Chicagoland area. Jaylaan is committed to case resolution and providing zealous representation for each client’s unique circumstance.
In the Community
Jaylaan is committed to giving back to her community. She served as a mentor with the Appellate Project, providing mentorship to law students pursuing appellate writing. Jaylaan has also worked as a tutor with the Minority Legal Education Resource and Writing Program, helping law students prepare for the Illinois Bar Exam with study strategies, practice exams, and constructive feedback.
