Lake Pepin, located in the West Central Wisconsin driftless area on the Mississippi River, has great small town getaways with both water and hilltop vistas dotted with craft and artist shops, country stores, small dairy, horse and vegetable farms, sailboats, barges, railroads, great restaurants, pie shops, and vineyards. I was raised near Lake Pepin and visit whenever I can.
Many years ago I attended a Tina Turner concert at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee where I got caught up in “Rollin’ Down the River”.
I watch comedies before I go to bed at night. After I laugh, I sleep better.
